The senators in that chamber chose to prioritize order. They gave into their fears of being too divisive rather than act to guarantee the voting rights of all people. This remains a lesson in the danger of valuing civility over all else.

We must start calling for a general strike. Congress has passed the largest transfer of wealth in human history with a voice vote. Only one person called for a recorded vote, (R-KY) Thomas Massy because he said he didn’t want our republic to die with a voice vote. We must act NOW
