We can’t let it work. This isn’t sour grapes. It’s a recognition that the fight is long and it doesn’t end in a primary. This is the most ground these ideas have ever gained and there is no reason to give it up.
It also dangerously minimizes the need to reach disenfranchised voters that didn’t turn out in 2016, but are essential for 2020. Assigning blame beforehand to Bernie supporters draws attention away from the legitimate work that needs to be done to inspire those people to vote.
