Yesterday a voter told me she's paying about 20% of her yearly income for healthcare premiums. Not care. Not prescriptions. Just premiums.
Under #MedicareForAll her costs would go from $7,200 to $440 a year. Call it a revolution, call it results. Whatever. It's what she needs.

Bold of you to assume Americans have empathy. The majority of the libs in this country don't care if you die.pic.twitter.com/nYBoJOhgGY

The overwhelming majority of voters I talk to have quite a bit of empathy. But for decades they’ve also been bombarded with messages telling them individual effort and innate character gets people ahead. We have to undo the damage of that lie for the empathy to shine through.

Apologies for my crassness, it's a deep level of pain having survived cancer myself and seeing it's effect on so many people who's lives hinge on this election. Thank you for the work you do and i'll do my best to be a positive advocate for the things I believe

I can understand. I always fallback to cynicism myself, even without going through your experience. It takes work for me to be a bit more idealistic, but I need it to keep the faith in our ability to make the change we need for ourselves!
