1. Short-term liquidity is important. 2. Monetary policy =/= fiscal policy. The Fed is virtually autonomous. 3. Do the organizations you advocate receive $1.5T have billions in Treasury bonds and collateral? Will these organizations have to pay back the Fed w/ interest?
Definitely wasn't equating monetary and fiscal policy. Simply stating that the market reaction to the liquidity injection was short-lived. I know the Fed is going to protect the markets, but we have to protect the people, too. And I'm not seeing that yet.
