Today our campaign decided to stop in-person events and canvassing for the time being. We rely on grassroots organizing and knocking on people’s doors to get our message out, but many of our canvassers are uninsured and the same goes for voters in the neighborhoods we canvass.
We need to prioritize the health of our volunteers, staff, and voters given how fragile the coronavirus has exposed our broken healthcare system and social safety net to be.
