Sara, I’m sure you’ve seen the reporting that shows no candidate’s supporters are any more mean than another’s. I think in moments we feel people are being mean, it’s important to reflect on what that person sees in their life and world that makes them feel that anger.
People suffer every day. A lot see that suffering and think it’s indefensible. It’s frustrating to try to explain this pain over and over. If that manifests as anger online, I’m sorry you’ve been on the receiving end but that can’t be a reason to avoid solving societal problems.
