When you tell me to start at the school board and work my way up, you’re telling on yourself. In your mind, lower level government are nothing but stepping stones. But I don’t want people on my school board who lack passion for students and just see it as an entry level job.

When say we have no experience you are dismissing us. We have experience. What you mean is that we don’t have the same experience everyone who came before us ever did. But let’s reflect on where that experience has gotten us. Shouldn’t it be time to try something else?
