My advice for anyone who is upset by people standing up for their candidate and calling out the record of others — log off and go canvass for your candidate. And do it in a neighborhood that isn’t as well off as yours. You’ll quickly understand why people aren’t playing.
You’ll meet voters losing their homes. Worried their kids won’t ever have a good life. Or sick & unable to afford care. This isn’t a game. It’s life & death for millions of people who struggle through every day. Getting back to “normal” for you will still not be enough for them.
Our campaign is fighting along side people who are struggling and directly calling out the problems that led to their struggle. We’re demanding more of our party, and our incumbents, and our country until every single one of us is guaranteed a dignified life.
I read your bio. Agree with your positions. But I disagree (slightly) with this post. We may want a lib in the White House, may NEED a lib in the White House, but must show enough respect to supporters of other candidates to ensure we EJECT current resident of the White House.
I am all for fighting for regular folks. I also like candidates to bring as many people into that fight as possible, rather than alienating potential allies.
