Over the holidays my dad told a story of how he used to take me along on his jobs installing alarm systems in people’s homes. We were lucky my dad could bring me along. Very few people have that option. But in the 30+ years since, we still haven’t given families any better options. Let’s make childcare free for all families. And drastically raise care worker wages while we’re at it.
