Chris Coons is saying that he's not there to try and promote basic human rights. He would rather sit there and agree on vague notions of family and civility. Also: The Prayer Breakfast is organized by evangelicals to try and get politicians to promote their right wing agenda.

As a constituent of Lankford’s I think it’s absolutely not a good thing that he and Coons get along on that level. Lankford goes hard right and is a full on Trump apologist, not a good political ally.
