This issue isn’t isolated to SI; it is in our backyard. This weekend a voter told me that while she was glad Amazon paid her $15 an hour, her and her colleagues work in inhumane conditions with absurd productivity expectations that push them past exhaustion and safety every day.
We need to be fighting for both living wages and humane working conditions for every worker in America. We cannot have one without the other.
