#MemorialDay is different things to different people. For some (if not most of us) it’s the unofficial start of Summer & a time to spend time with our families. For others it’s a time to remember those who gave the ultimate sacrifice. (Thread)

SFC Domeij was on his 14th deployment when he died. He took me under his wing on my first deployment with Ranger Regiment. I remember him playing with his two daughters on the parade field the day we deployed. You were the best of us Kris.pic.twitter.com/9RwHGQcakX

Tommy was in my sister Platoon and was a beast of a man. I remember listening to the assault on the radio feeling helpless after the fire fight where he lost his life.pic.twitter.com/h4U2CZUFSD

Sadly, I remember more than just these two today. Let’s celebrate their lives and sacrifices. Let’s enjoy our Summer and be thankful for the freedoms these men volunteered to fight for, and ultimately died to protect.
