    Berkeley's Parks & Rec department will screen The Lion King tonight at San Pablo Park at 7:45pm. Get there early to get a good spot and bring blankets, sleeping bags and/or low-back beach chairs. Just one of many fun and free activities the city organizes throughout the year!

    With the homeless shelter at 9th/University closing, we will open up North Berkeley Senior Center from 9/1-9/15 and Frances Albrier Community Center from 9/16-9/30 as shelters while we continue to find a space for a permanent location.

    Glad that the City will soon be providing secure storage Downtown. We funded this program in my December budget recommendations and we plan on expanding this to other parts of the city. People need a safe place to store their belongings.
