It's silly to say we have a single, monolithic "Deep State," but you don't have to be a Trump partisan to find it dangerous & unsustainable for a significant segment of the intelligence & national security bureaucracy to be dedicated to taking down the Commander-in-Chief.

This has to depend in part on what "taking down" means. Obviously if it's "take down" politically b/c of policy differences, that's wrong. But "take down" as in hold accountable to the Constitution... don't we have to assume at least some of this resistance is genuine concern?

Not sure how this excuses leaking POTUS phone calls to press

Their mind, since it’s Trump’s calls it’s okay to leak them.

The process began long before his election, and is itself inconsistent with the constitution

The basis for all this as far as I can tell is that liberals in the IC - who thought Hillary Clinton was fit to be POTUS (WHY?) - have sincerely convinced themselves that Donald Trump could never be. And they can’t tell you why. It may be genuine, but it’s also irrational.

Um, no. Every indication is that its political. If it were constitutional concerns, there are courtrooms for that.

That, I agree with. I don't see anything illegal here. What is at issue is abuse of power.

I can’t-it seems too coincidental that this comes so soon after the Mueller report fizzles.
