This is such an unfair article to
@BlairBraverman . If you took even 30 seconds to look at her twitter account, you'd see her dogs are more loved and better taken care of than a lot of housepets. Alaskan huskies love to run; that's what they are born to do. 1/2 -
All the dogs at the Iditarod and other races have detailed vet checks at each checkpoint. Their welfare is actually a higher priority than the mushers! Very disappointed in the lack of research in this article and the generalizations made as assumptions. 2/2

Before taking the claims of anti-sled-dog lobbyists as fact, I encourage those concerned for treatment of sled dogs to talk to mushers and visit a race or kennel for themselves. Most mushers (Blair is no exception) work hard to make sure their dogs' lives are enriched year-round!pic.twitter.com/ao95CqdZos

Wow. So you spoke with one person that filmed a highly subjective film and that's it? Oh, and the person from the "Humane" Society? I must have missed where you spoke with the musher you reference. Did you even bother to reach out to her or any others?

This is a poor excuse for journalism.

This is not journalism. It’s an opinion piece based on a biased film that only presents isolated instances and makes no effort to investigate beyond its own confirmation bias. I thought the
@Jerusalem_Post was better than this.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

This is not journalism. Or true. If you did ANY real research you would know this. Perhaps speak with the mushers you mention before condemning - but then if you did you’d have nothing to publish I guess. Anything for drama?

It’s really sad that you didn’t bother to try and interview Blair Braverman, or any other musher, and instead relied on only one side of the story. Actual journalism would have revealed that dogs are not chained 24/7 and that the vast majority of mushers provide excellent care.

This is a sorry excuse of an article. Do your research. Talk to mushers. Talk to Iditarod veterinarians. If you had, you'd know the dogs have happy healthy lives.
