    The steadiest rain associated with the remnants of Nicholas continues to fall south of I-59. But there are a few bands of rain to the north of there as well.

    Latest forecast advisory and track for Tropical Depression Nicholas. Obviously the storm is moving very slowly, and the main threat going forward will be heavy rain and flash flooding. This is the final Nicholas advisory to be issued.

    We are off to the races temperature-wise in the downward direction. Although missing this hour, the last recorded temperature at the Birmingham airport was 66 degrees at 8 pm. I am lowering the forecast low for Birmingham to 57 degrees.
