Well New York…we did it!
I’m so deeply grateful for your continued support and trust—I promise to keep on fighting for New Yorkers in Congress. Onwards!
But here's the thing: I'm a New Yorker. And New Yorkers don't know how to surrender.
New York, you stood up and fought on my behalf. As I head back to D.C., all I can offer you is the same in return. And we're gonna win.
Thank you for being with me, NY-12. Onwards.
Now, our country faces some vast challenges.
A radical SCOTUS is deadset on rolling back our rights.
Insurrectionists are walking the halls of Congress.
The planet is burning and democracy is on the line.
We have a choice: surrender or stand up and fight for what's right.
. Suraj is a bright young leader. NYC needs voices like his to meet the issues of tomorrow.
Carolyn has been a groundbreaking public servant. She has my—and our city's—gratitude for her decades of leadership.
Of course, I have to thank my family. My wife Joyce, my son Michael, my daughter-in-law Lizzie, and my two grandchildren, Allyson and Aaron: your love has sustained me throughout a long and often difficult campaign. I love you.
I couldn't have won all across #NY12 without my fantastic campaign team. Thank you to the tireless volunteers, our relentlessly energetic army of interns, the official staffers who took time off to support our efforts, & everyone else on #TeamNadler.
This victory belongs to you.
This campaign was, at its core, about connecting with the communities that compose the new NY-12. We did that—and then some—thanks to the outreach of so many Democratic clubs.
You know, last night was pretty special. I'm so proud to be heading back to Washington to represent you, New York.
But I didn't win on my own—far from it. If our victory proved one thing, it's how strong a community committed to progressivism and kindness can really be.
Friends -
Today, August 23 is the Democratic Primary for Congress. I urge you to join me in supporting one of my heroes for RE-election, Jerry Nadler. In fact, The New York Times has endorsed Jerry!

I’m working to reach every New Yorker: even those who can’t yet vote! On Election Eve, I’m so grateful to the thousands of New Yorkers who make up #TeamNadler. From the West Side to the East—and everywhere in between—this campaign is about you.
One more day, New Yorkers! #NY12
.@JerryNadler spends Primary Eve at the Upper West Side Fairway, where he got literal applause (briefly) and everyone except this baby seems to know his name
Only positivity this morning at the 79th Street Greenmarket!
New Yorkers: today is the last day of early voting. Make sure that your voice is heard! #NY12#TeamNadler
Talk about turnout! New Yorkers are raring to go—and they’re so excited to vote for Jerry. Thanks to all who joined our amazing Get Out The Vote rally this afternoon….together, we’re going to win on Tuesday!
Four days until Election Day and #TeamNadler is all smiles on the West Side!
New Yorkers: Jerry needs your vote in #NY12! If you don’t want to or can’t vote on Election Day, you can vote early through Sunday.
: “Jerry is a progressive champion who has stood by labor and lifted up the voices of workers, even when it was unpopular or hard to do so. For these reasons, we need to keep Jerry in Congress. As a NY-12 resident, I'll be voting for him in this year’s primary."
: “Jerry Nadler has been a consistent and ceaseless supporter of workers and union organizing throughout his career. Recently, Jerry staunchly advocated for Amazon warehouse workers seeking to organize across the country in the face of intense anti-union pressure."
: “I have supported both Jerry Nadler and Carolyn Maloney in every single one of their congressional races in the past. This year, I had to make a choice between the two."
—in my race for #NY12. As a lifelong fighter for working families and strong unions, I'm proud to have incredible labor leaders like Stuart on my side.
5 days until Election Day and #TeamNadler is feeling fantastic. Grateful for the incredible warmth and support I’m feeling all across #NY12–and especially on the East Side this evening!
