To clarify, I talked to my lawyer and he reminded me that LU did not terminate my contract without cause. I actually terminated my contract for good reason (resigned) b/c had violated my contract by putting me on leave. LU admitted guilt & I therefore kept my retirement

👍my bottom number BP was >100 my 33 years at LU, now averages 100/65 w/ less stress. Kids/grandkids are my life now! But I speak bc LU needs a CEO w/ doc level degree from a top accredited U. Afraid the board has no idea how important that is to the school’s reputation & future.

I worked hard to help students understand and believe in Jesus and his teachings and not to confuse religiosity with true Christianity. That was my main goal but there will always be those who say Jesus was a friend of sinners. The same ones who screamed “Crucify Him!”

Actually I’ve never been an evangelist or preacher. I was a lawyer (for LU and others) and a commercial real estate developer before I became CEO of LU. Better to be a flawed human being (like everyone) than a religious hypocrite. Read Jesus’s condemnation of the Pharisees!

What money? All I got was a salary and some retirement $$, all earned by decades of blood, sweat & tears. Now I’ve been banned from LU property for a year (where my parents are buried) and employees are forbidden to speak with me. I don’t know what they are so afraid of really.

I’d take Jerry on my team over anyone that commented on this status. Not hardly an intelligent rebuttal to be found . A few nice supporters but the rest lose the effectiveness of their argument by being plain stupid.

I’ve let it go but LU has a lawsuit pending v. me & LU’s new mgmt seems to prefer the Bob Jones U model using only select quotes from Dad for support. My Dad & I envisioned a university for evangelicals similar to what Notre Dame is for Catholics w/ diverse speakers & viewpoints!

Actually true! Personally, I transferred to LU because of the buzz created by and things deflated when he left. LU should continue to evolve as an academic institution, not as a quasi Bible college run by ultra conservative pastors.

Actually yes because I was not fired. My contract was terminated without cause because I had not violated any LU rules for staff or the terms of my contract. AND my contract was terminated for good reason by me because LU had violated my contract by placing me on temporary leave

Historic day yesterday! All 32 NFL teams visited campus including Steelers HC Mike Tomlin to watch -the goal for that my father and I devoted most of our careers to achieving and it is just the start!

My tweet was not meant as an attack on Acting President Jerry Prevo. He left retirement for a very stressful temporary job. It’s now time for LU to show its gratitude to him & hire a perm CEO with proper academic credentials & experience in higher education management.

I encourage to search for a new president with proper academic credentials (doctorate level degree from a top university), a must for one of the US’s largest universities. A search firm was pd 18 mos ago but the temp pastor/pres still serves & the firm remains on hold.

Let’s all hope the move to electric cars (fueled mostly by carbon fuel generated electricity) will result in a resurgence for the nuclear power industry, the only viable solution for the long term. A little nuclear deregulation and no new plants in earthquake zones will do it all
