Honestly though.. what are you about when you consider kids never wanting to be gunned down in the classrooms again “divisive”.

I don’t want kids getting gunned down in classrooms either. That’s not what is divisive. It’s the policy proposals that are divisive, and I’d prefer if we kept Holocaust terminology out of policy debates.

The proposal is that we don’t let this happen anymore. Why is that divisive?

“This shouldn’t happen anymore” is a laudable goal, but it is emphatically not a policy proposal.

How do you define “divisive”? How are you using that word?

So, when Conservatives are tending to cause disagreements or hostility, I should expect to see you jump on it wirh as much voracity as you are here, then?

The bullying is dumb. The co-opting of Holocaust terminology is also dumb, though.

How, are you jewish, I have not heard any jewish or holocaust survivors speak out against this.

Okay except youre saying neveragain to a specific thing happening to people which happened during the holocaust. Nit comparing todays issues to the holocaust, But is it possible you people dont like this kid specifically because he doesnt agree with all of you?

This has nothing to do with the messenger and everything to do with the message — I don’t think people should co-opt Holocaust terminology to push a political agenda.

I guess im just confused as to why saying never again to a mass shooting in public school hits you so hard.

Not saying you're wrong, im saying i think youre the only one associating the holocaust to this. They probably didnt even think of that when coming up with their phrase. Dont see a major issue.

The phrase Never Again is inherently tied to the memorialization of the Holocaust, and ignorance of that fact is the exact problem that I’m pointing out here.

Or Never again is tied to mass tragedy. You act like because i dont associate never again with the holocaust means i dont know anything of that time. Can you just admit that thereis a possibility youre criticizing him for things just to criticize because you disagree?
