I did the same using better zip. I modified the 11.3.1 ipsw’s buildmanifest. Plist to recognize the erase and update for my device(d21) 8 plus. Once modified, it bypassed the error 44, buildmanifest.plist from 11.3.1 and actually used it. It updated within 20 mins
