  4. We need to do more to support Ukrainian refugees - my letter to the PM with a number of colleagues urging him to go further, and provide a more generous system for those fleeing the war. 1.7 million people have now fled and no one could possibly argue they don't have good cause.

    The House of Lords has voted in favour of amendments to the Health and Care Bill requiring independently verified assessments every 2 years of NHS current and future NHS workforce needs. The Bill will return to the Commons meaning. Will the Govt reject it again?

    It’s clearly unsustainable for a humanitarian organisation like the NHS to have any commercial links whatsoever with Putin’s murderous regime. The small minority of trusts who retain links with Gazprom need to rethink this as a matter of urgency.
