The fed needs to fund education as promised. They're at 15% of accessible education (spec. ed) when they promised 40% in the 70s! Underfunded individual programs leads to all programs being underfunded.

Most of the Administrative State / Executive Branch at the Federal level & the State levels can be axed. The 16th Amendment, granting Congress unlimited ability to tax income was a terrible mistake & is the primary reason why the Executive has grown into a monstrosity.

Your analysis only focuses on the K-12 portion of the DoE mandate. However, the most harm the DoE has done to our society is in its abandonment of student-loan oversight leading to 2 generations impoverished by massive loans and low-quality degrees.

I concur. But do you concur then as well that the Florida bill banning certain classroom conversations or studies is an overreach on the local level as well? Should governors or state DOEs be making specific rules for local school districts?
