Teachers: You do not need to fear school choice if you are good. The free market always rewards excellence.

I knew from experience how inequitable, unequal, unjust, et al America’s public education System is for most non-neurotypical & neurotypical 👶 before #COVID19 but—now I KNOW it’s worse than my traumatic parental experiences & wildest imagination for the Children #caged in it. https://twitter.com/1in5advocacy/status/1333449856053075970 …

As someone who’s practiced SPED law, I can tell you “school choice” is not the answer. It will just lead to an exacerbation of what already happens now - private schools taking who they want and kicking the more challenging kids to public schools

Same in Colorado. However, if there were full school choice, I think we would see the opposite happen.

That’s the issue, half the teachers are below average at their job. Some have been sucking on the government tit for decades. Can’t give that up

But what if I’m deemed not to be that “good”? I have a masters in Ed. Have taught for 15 years, have tenure, am rarely out, and sure as ah*t don’t need to be judged by a non-teacher!
