I'm incredibly disappointed by the early turnout numbers in every borough. Between matching funds and early voting, it looks like we'll be spending at minimum $100 per voter in this election. You can lead a horse to water, but how much do you have to spend to make her to drink?

FWIW, I have a lot of friends who absentee or early voted in 2020 but are excited to come out on Election Day next week

To be clear, I want big turnout numbers and was a vocally supportive for both early voting and matching funds, but if we don't get results, there needs to be hard examination of making things better.

I agree. Here in SF most people get mail in ballots. I know in Seattle there are drop off boxes around neighborhoods too. Maybe that’s the way to go forward to ^^^ turnout.

And in Oregon and Washington iirc it’s 100% mail in

Interesting. Here in SF it’s not. I voted for @chesaboudin in person in 2019 but the last few primaries/elections mail in voting.
