I keep saying that these people are either liars and don't understand/read any of the material they subscribe to. Let's take a tour through the "history of mathematics."https://twitter.com/donmoyn/status/1223610021298216960 …

Keep up, this is what Don and the usuals call "history of math" and "applying math to different social situations." This makes sense to them and this is how they interpret the essay.
The next section is "Should mathematics be antiracist?" (more broadly, it asks "whether mathematics should be doing the work of social justice."). This paragraph reminds us that math can be done for its own sake, but in education there's a lot of yadda yadda on power&privilegepic.twitter.com/6ImBsxgewy
Those familiar with Social Justice outside of it see this word salad operating all the time. Creating educating students is " interplay between oppression, power, and privilege." This is the kind of postmodern take they keep saying they don't believe in.
Then there's an interesting "if...then" statement. If math is political, then we must be on the side of Justice. At all expense. So if it *can* be antiracist, it needs to be. Whatever that means. This logic I am sure follows in the convoluted minds of the SocJus people.pic.twitter.com/rrTcbqlRgS
Does this mean if math is not political or gendered, then we shouldn't be on the side of justice? I don't get it.
The author goes on to describe their inequalities class a bit more, there's a little bit of "but I'm just asking questions" going on, then a suggestion that we should accept that mathematics operates as whiteness and we need to figure out an alternative.pic.twitter.com/vuv8fh4srj
Then, there's an erratum to reverse cite our good friend Chanda Prescod Weinstein, you know the clown behind that white empiricism paper. Then, to close the religious ritual, the author must acknowledge their racism and erasure and openness to being educated.pic.twitter.com/dyDuN9Sve1
