Not really. I would be amazed if, like any institution, RH didn't defend its staff to the death, regardless of the specifics. To say 'yeah, this PhD was shit' would undermine RH's wider programme and reputation so I expect they would defend themselves robustly.

That's not how academia works. They'll have their academic integrity/disciplinary panel look at the allegations, decide if they have merit - they absolutely do, then they'll probably put an academic from the field, either internal or external to review the allegations thoroughly.

They'll talk to the examiners, ask if these concerns were raised and appropriately addressed in the viva. If they were, case closed, if they weren't, they will ask the examiners if this new information would have materially altered their assessment of the work.

Most likely the examiner will quote TLC "it's not right, but it's OK" and the university will take no further action.
