My uncle died of covid last December. My aunt had it too and was hospitalized but she survived it. She's 88.
Just curious, do you personally know anyone who has lost their life to Covid, or been hospitalized?

My best friend is in hospital right now with breakthrough COVID. Vaccinated and wears a mask to grocery store. No restaurants. Only sees her daughter. Dallas area.

In the early days of the pandemic, the first person who died in our area was a friend of mine. He was a pillar in our community.

Yes, I know someone who spent over 5 weeks in the hospital around Christmas and he’s still trying to recover.

My cousin died from it but his wife pulled through. My last surviving aunt was so despondent in a nursing home without visitors that she refused to take any medication or nourishment and died of loneliness. She really didn't understand video chat and gave up trying to use it.

yep....also just went to visit my mum this morning at the 5th floor of her senior living and they closed the whole wing/floor due to covid....in Missouri....go figure...

Yes. We lost a coworker one year ago. He was 50yrs old, former police officer, retired Navy, working on base & still serving the military & had just received his degree. He was high risk, working from home, rarely left home, & never w/out gloves & mask. Even before required. /1
