A manager shot at one of the spa opened the door, thinking the shooter was a customer, then suddenly got hit, per this report. Two other Korean employees were inside and were not hurt.

This is not my day job, of course, but will track any other reporting I see...

I think what's most heartbreaking thing -- and the part that honestly broke me -- is the fact that those workers shot and killed lived and worked at their workplace.

How many of them came from Korea seeking a better future? How many of them had to abandon that plan after arriving in the U.S.? How many of them sacrificed so much for their kids so they would achieve what their parents couldn't?

Picking up where we left off: Of the four Korean women killed, three of them provided food or opened doors, but didn't provide any massage service. I'll add to this thread tomorrow as I see some pieces of note -- Also, of note: Korean American media relies on a ton of anonymous sourcing -- And it, like any other reporting, is not bulletproof by any measure.

Let me know of any contradictory info you're seeing -- And I'll make sure to note it in this thread.

Didn't see anything this morning, but will add anything that I see. I want to take this moment to take a brief pause and celebrate the Korean community in Atlanta which has come so far.

Here's a photo I took of barbecue in Heirloom Market BBQ in 2019 when I was in Atlanta for AAJA convention. The restaurant, one of the best barbecue joint I've ever been, is run by a former K-Pop star. https://www.vice.com/en/article/nz8zdg/how-a-k-pop-star-became-a-barbecue-sensation …pic.twitter.com/hPlUWyx11M
