Fortunately, I happen to like Billy Joel a lot. Probably not as much as @Jenny_Trout, but a lot.
No internet abbreviation makes me happier than "IANAL". Guys. There has to be a better way of saying that. "I Am Not An Attorney," maybe?
If you support Hale or feel that Harris invited Hale's actions, unfollow me before you feel the need to engage with me on the topic.
@Jenny_Trout Same, and this fawning over how well written it is scares me. People's lives aren't there to be plundered for creative angst.
@Jenny_Trout Seriously, how lacking in empathy do you need to be to treat that stalking piece with such distance?
If someone has the ability to read that article and find it "fascinating" rather than "horrifying" or "an admission of a crime," I worry.
Any pleasure or entertainment they got out of reading the article does not make it worth the outing of someone writing under a pseudonym.
The people deeming Hale's article "fascinating" are missing the larger point; this is not about their enjoyment of the article. (c)
I also wonder why Hale didn't out Athena Parker's real identity, if fake personas are such a horrible thing.
I'm wondering how many authors who were morally appalled at the threat of EC outing author pseudonyms support Kathleen Hale.
Am I being cynical or misinformed by doubting the veracity of Hale's account?
.@Mojitana I feel like Anne Rice should be the barometer when deciding which group you're supporting.
But I have to know, when Neil Gaiman tweeted about this, did he hashtag #glittercannons?
It's gross and scary when people admit to doing things that no rational person would do, expecting people to see their actions as rational.
Heads up, if anyone ever feels the need to stalk me to my house, I can be provoked to extreme, unchecked violence.
Everyone but me has already seen this, but this is what I'm talking about: http://www.donotlink.com/framed?565129
@_ElizabethMay @Jenny_Trout One of the people tweeting support - Frank Rich - is a Guardian writer. And Hale's future father in law.
