Literally all these people ranting about this tweet but are the same people that freak out because a store no longer has avocados or limes have raised prices and are now too “expensive”.

Enter legally and no one will have a problem
-
Bc that’s always so simple
-
Coming from the White American Male that knows nothing about the immigration system and law. It could take up to a decade and thousands of dollars to legally cross this border. Resources and time that many do not have. Seeking Asylum is not illegal.
-
Yeah my mother is still currently a green card member of society but I know nothing about immigration

-
Knowing an immigrant does not qualify you to speak on the complex subject. My parents are immigrants&all I feel comfortable commenting on is how intricate&expensive the system is. Remarks like “just do it legally” expose your lack of critical thinking. It is not black and white.
-
Idk when so many people decided just because America is the best country in the world we should just give hand outs to everyone else in the world and stop looking out for actual Americans.
-
Millions of Americans tax payers dollars goes to illegal immigrants every year when it should be helping out the countless homeless people in city’s or go to the many unemployed veterans.
-
Homeless people that are born on this country, have papers, have the language and still can’t get a job. While immigrants not knowing English, not knowing this country can pull through and support there family WITHOUT your taxes or government help. Now that’s pathetic.

It would be an acceptable comparison if the case in both scenarios was that there was no legality to either situation. In one the world is destitute and there are no rules but in reality people have to abide by laws to get things they want, not by bum-rushing a border checkpoint.
-
Its an acceptable comparison bc in both situations the childrens life would be in danger if they stayed where they were and even though its even more dangerous crossing the border (the river in the movie) it’s worth it because of the small chance the kids would have a better life
-
Reminder that this is where my people come from. Not the established cities you think they do. LEGALITY ISNT A CASE FOR MORALITY.pic.twitter.com/TjN3Mr2Api

You must not understand that if we let in anyone who wants to come here, America will become the same as the place they left. It doesn't work economically. Look at what happened to Europe. It doesn't mean I dont sympathize with those who live in poverty, just cant have more here.
-
Do u understand that this country was ours? Y’all came, made up borders &said we couldnt come 2 OUR country. &ECONOMICALLY speaking, they stimulate the economy. They pay taxes. They put $ into small/large biz. &contrary to racist belief they DO NOT qualify for gov assistance.
