Vile words turn into violent actions. The rise in anti-LGBTQ+ and especially anti-trans rhetoric from elected leaders is dangerous and must be condemned at every opportunity. No one in this country should have to live in fear because of who they are or who they love.

It is gut wrenching to wake up yet again to news of a deadly mass shooting in our country. My heart goes out to the loved ones of those killed, the 18 people injured, and the Colorado Springs LGBTQ+ community whose safe space was attacked last night.
