Trump is denying he flushed documents down a White House toilet, but ’s reporting is 100% accurate. Staff did find clumped/torn/shredded papers and fished them out from blocked bathroom toilet—and believed it had been the president’s doing, sources told me at the time.

Why wasn't this reported immediately? Why is this just coming out over a year after he is out? Why did Maggie hold this information to use as a way to get her book's attention? One (of many) reason people don't trust the media is this type of coordinated leak to sell books.

I don’t want to make any uninformed assumptions about this. Did you report on this at the time, or was there a journalistic reason it couldn’t be reported on?

Jennifer, honest question: why is it ethical to hold this reporting for a book release?

It’s frightening the things that are coming out wtf was actually happening in the most powerful office in the world
“At the time?” You mean “at the time when I also did not report this suspected felony?” Was that the time?

It is death by 1000 cuts. I’m looking forward to Maggie Haberman’s book. Then I want Jennifer Jacobs book.
