NEW: White House sends invitations for Trump’s departure event at Joint Base Andrews—starts at 8a Wednesday. Guests must arrive between 6a and 7:15a; may bring up to five other people; and must wear mask, the invites say, according to one shared with me by an ex Trump official.

It’s difficult to find folks who *are* planning to go to Trump’s departure events early tomorrow. Ex national security adviser John Bolton and deputy Charlie Kupperman were invited; not going. Same with ex chief John Kelly and ex comms aide Anthony Scaramucci; many others.

Among those who haven’t RSVP’ed for Trump’s sendoff (and aren’t expected to attend): VP Mike Pence, House GOP Leader Kevin McCarthy, Senate GOP Leader Mitch McConnell and a whole slew of Republicans. Aides expect some MAGA super fans, though.

Sounds like a pity party.

If it gets a few thousand supporters away from the Inauguration? That’s a good idea.

What other president didn’t attend?
-
I know Eisenhower and Truman had a thing going on but Truman probably attended, as far as I know. Eisenhower did not visit him in the white-house that morning though.

1 more superspreader event for the road.
-
Nope he doesn't care about killing people, he's not done with superspreader events he will have them in Florida and then start his campaign for 2024 and have more fundraising with small print that says he can spend money however he wants.
