Station staff? Absolute gems. Stayed with us, tried their best to get a taxi to take us, but I am once again bitterly disappointed at the lack of vehicles at taxi ranks and with standard companies who will actually carry a powerchair.

Got to love it when the alternative option for when part of a train line is shut down is to take a taxi. Then you spend half an hour watching several "disabled accessible" taxis refuse to take your wheelchair until you give up and book your own. Taxi ranks just don't like chairs.

I love making effort and living my best goth life, but honestly half the time I just need to be warm and comfy...
The text at the top reads "Expectation vs Reality" Underneath is a grid of 4 pictures, lined up so 2 are beneath each word. Under Expectation is a picture of Elvira (a beautiful lady with long black hair in a well fitted dress that reveals her signature plunge neckline cleavage look), and under that is a picture of a woman with black and purple hair sat in a powerchair wearing a red and black piratey outfit, goth makeup, PVC corset, chain detail belt, and a large pirate hat. On the other side underneath Reality are 2 more photos. The top one is Garth from the film Wayne's World, he is a man with messy long blonde hair, thick black frame glasses, and he is wearing a plaid shirt over the top of a band tshirt. Underneath is the last picture, the same woman from the pirate outfit but this time no makeup, loose hair, an olive green turtleneck jumper and a black and white plaid shirt over the top. She is also wearing glasses in both photos similar in style to Garth's.

Bag ties! Now my bread shall remain fresh, and with style! Wez isn't a fan but I overruled his objection on the grounds of "they're amazing, you clearly have no taste - and besides, they match the cat butt towel holder on the wall."
A set of 3 ties for sealing small bags. The ties are plastic cartoon-style cat faces with a pink tongue-like rubber strip that forms the tie. It is secured by pulling the to gue part through a hole where the cat's mouth is so it looks like the cat has a very long tongue sticking out. The cat faces are in 3 colour variants: black, grey, and white. The packaging is white card with pink and black writing, the price on the label is £2.99. Additional note: I will never not be entertained by this.

Just got home after a fantastic weekend including Saturday spent at #OurConMeansDeath ♡ my attire was appropriately piratey methinks ;) many thanks to all the showrunners and the fellow attendees, it was an absolute joy to be around you all ♡ #goth #pirate
A woman is sat in a powerchair in a pirate-y outfit with no regard for historical accuracy or fashion sense. The outfit comprises of: a black loose skirt a black pvc corset with sparkly buckles and a zip front, a thin leather belt with multiple silver chains hanging in loops worn at above waist height, a red shirt underneath the corset with lace detail around the bust line and billowy long sleeves, lace and net black sleeves under the sleeves of the red top like a petticoat for sleeves, black satin fingerless gloves, a black cotton sleeveless crop top shirt over the top of the corset and red shirt which has buckle fastenings and ribbon lace details on the sides, and a large black pirate hat with red ribbons on the side and frilled lace around the edges. She has black hair, goth style makeup, black framed glasses, and is wearing her wedding rings on a necklace chain around her neck.
The same outfit described in the first photo but at a higher angle, and with the convention badge still attached to the shirt.
A low angle photo of the outfit described before. This time it shows that the skirt is mid length, and on the lower legs is red tights with black fishnet tights over the top, and my favourite boots in the universe are sort of half in the shot. They are black leather boots that go to mid shin height, with buckle straps going across the front of the boots including spiked stud details on the straps. Some of the wheelchair decorations are also in this shot, which are skulls and chains hanging from the arms of the chair on the sides, and a black and silver skeleton in a black and silver cage hanging from the front of the chair on one side.

"We will get cats", I said, "they're cute and soft and lovely!" ...whilst that isn't untrue, this was my 5th attempt to retrieve my shirt from under her. No claws, but she isn't moving. I tried to stop her sitting there in the first place but got the hissy growls!

Day 2 of #OurFlagMeansSummer Rum/Hangover Can turtles get hangovers? This one probably did. Keeping this small and silly to help me keep up with 1 a day, until one idea will inevitably grab me and shake me down for a 5 hour piece later. #OFMDfanart
