The ghosts that haunt our lands are voices of the past and gone; traditions, tales, and chants spoken beneath boughs of watching trees. Songs of magpies. Stories of hares. Wind direction and weather. Ploughed into the soil, unseen, until the barley rises and whispers.

It is impossible to write with integrity about nature without protesting, resisting & waving a desperate red flag. Isn’t it. We are writing for our very lives & for those wild lives we share this one, lonely planet with. 1/2

Save a 400 year old oak tree in Northamptonshire from being chopped down for roadworks. A tree like this is unique - and needs protection.
