Ok gunna be the focus of the hate on this one... U realise that the game has an 18 rating in the UK, gunna be the same everywhere else too, so just on that basis alone YouTube is right to put an age restriction on it whether it violates any of their regs or not... Simple really..

When has it ever put age restrictions on videos of games that are 18+?

Dunno. But it has the right to do so... u cannot stream the game on mixer unless it's set to 18+, an uploaded video is no different... Really can't see why anyone is gettin bent outa shape over this... u will find in the t&c's that they can restrict anythin as they see fit...

People are getting bent out of shape about this because this is one drop in a very large bucket. Youtube is not kind to it's creators, and regularly restricts/demonetises videos. Many times the creator asks for guidance in how to fix it, yet receive no help ...

It's kind of like having a dartboard set up in a 100% dark room. You have some general guidance , like, "between 4 and 6 feet from the ground"... but if you throw and miss, the only feed back is "You hit the floor. Aim better and hit the dart board."

I mean, the issue here is literally that no one took 10 seconds to write out the (probably) problem of the game being a 18+ game. It'd be an easy template! Instead, they prefer vague and ambiguous messages that leave the creator wondering "Did I even hit the right wall?"

Now, add in that a creator may spend hours filming and editing a video... and that many youtubers *are* trying to do this as a portion of their income... most of the time, if told "you're doing something wrong"... they want to do better/fix it but they don't know how to.

But as for this issue directly, I guess if ur followers are mostly kids this will sting, n if u know ur followers are kids make ur content kid friendly, go play fortnite or Roblox, problem solved...

Not quite: Age restricted videos cannot be monetized, and are hidden in "certain sections" of youtube. So a video being restricted means that even if your audience IS adults, you still can't make money off of it. plus, the root of the problem here is the lack of communication.
