Given these priorities, it’s no surprise that many of the same legislatures are seeking to harm people of color and the LGBTQ community through policies that restrict voting rights, remove critical race theory and gender studies, and deny gender-affirming healthcare.

It’s unconscionable that so many state legislatures are more focused on controlling women and girls’ bodies and less on protecting children from gun violence.
