For all the people saying “this turns books into DECORATIVE OBJECTS” I mean, yeah, unless you’re pawing through all of them, every single night, cradling them like safety objects, they’re going to spend more time on the shelf than they do in your hands.
As for "how do you find books for your research!?" -- I buy hard copies of my pleasure reading, and buy kindle version of research texts so I can not only pull them up immediately, but also search "abortion law Britain 1827" within the text.
In my experience, openly liking anything primarily liked by women (pop music, pumpkin spice lattes, colorful bookshelves) will make some people furious.
