That's why it days demo account, it can be a fake one just so they can test which info is being accessed through their API and how it is being used.
Yeah, that's my understanding of what they're asking too. But it's still access to a non-public system with confidential data and the ability to perform destructive actions.
Being a private system, yes it is. Also I do find the wording confusing and easy for some people to actually share compromising information and credentials, maybe @googledevs could clarify and revise these emails being sent.
