She is the first person I thought of. Is she still with us?

I followed Mr. Dunne's coverage of this (love him) and I couldn't agree more. He truly must be weeping from above seeing this foolishness. SMH

This is a disgrace! He is guilty as SIN! No justice for this poor family.

It seems that our justice system continues to fail us

Sad but true.

Of course - the rich get away with everything. Look at Trump - he should’ve been behind bars years ago.

But he was 15 at the time of the murder. No one should get a life sentence for a murder at 15
-
No? The victim's family got a life sentence, why shouldn't he?

the reversal of his conviction doesn’t mean he’s innocent. be cautious with that guilty as hell rhetoric- everyone is still entitled to a fair trial regardless of guilt.

That sounds like something a TV lawyer would say, not a jurist.

Failure to call potential alibi witness seems like pretty big deal to me.

You are a very decent person but I'm going to disagree with you for once. Even though you've got a point about trying a 15 yr old as an adult. Neither one of us was there but from what I recall there was a lot more evidence of guilt.

It wasn’t the justices job to opine whether there was enough evidence to convict. Their sole job in this instance was to determine if trial counsel was “ineffective” in his representation of Skakel. Period. End of story.

I read the decision, they disagreed with the jury’s verdict. They opined on the timeline, as if there was only ONE possible timeline, they cherry picked evidence and then ignored other evidence, completely. Horrible.
