I couldn't help but notice that NOT ONCE in the doc series did the size of Trump's electoral college victory come up. You couldn't have worked that in?? Sad! 😉

I was absolutely floored to find out she was pardoned. How much time did she do in jail, like 14 months? And that brainwashing ploy actually worked??? All I could do was SMDH. It was a good series, but didn't end the way I expected it to.

Enjoyed it, but feel there was more to do on background of Sla members: how did Atwood become radical.....what's up with pauley/Kline connections?

It was excellent. I remember watching the LA gunfight live on TV in the Bay Area. We assumed that PH died in the burning house ... and how surprising that that wasn't the case. Bill Harris was a good story teller. Nice job, JT.

Agree. Patty Hearst's ability to morph is apparent. On the one hand she is ethereal and seems to lack any sense of self. On the other hand, she survived a harrowing experience, then married and remained in the marriage for decades.

American Heiress is a must read, too! I was amazed at how little I really knew about the case. Even though I was a teen when it happened, I followed it avidly. Many surprises, nonetheless!

Great doc! It strengthened my original feelings about her guilt. PH was the original millennial.A spoiled kid who thought she could get away with it till the reality of a long jail sentence transformed Tania back to Patty.

I am Patty's age and remember when all that was going on and the shock when she became a member of the group that kidnapped her. This series gave so much detail that I was not aware of at the time. Thank you for bringing this story to us.

I was nine when it happened and fascinated with the case. I always felt badly for her and thought it was unfair to prosecute her. Now, not so much. The doc was awesome!
