If you want to write about Patty Hearst or Stockholm Syndrome you might want to write about how early abuse teaches blind obedience which is why she switched from blindly obeying one leader to another and back but that might expose #MSM #Propaganda http://zacherydtaylor.blogspot.com/2018/02/pre-stockholm-syndrome-is-real-problem.html …pic.twitter.com/NaGeCBoaeG

Toobin's next book is going to question whether Elizabeth Smart was raped and held hostage causing her to comply with captors or if she actually wanted to be a polygamist wife.

There may be similar cult activity around her, with major unsolved mysteries; however I wouldn't expect Toobin to do a good job exposing them or asking the right questions.

Toobin was live on air for several hours telling everyone that absolutely the "balloon boy" was in the balloon well after it had been explained by scientists how unlikely this was.

I forgot about that absurd obsession du jour; which was another way of distracting the public that pundits like Toobin love 😀😆

i was kinda shocked at everyone saying what a great book it was. the story is insane but the book was pretty bad imo. it was severely misguided of the author to omit the merits and implications of Stockholm Syndrome. it was merely a footnote. a rather sexist myopic view

Interesting! There was an excellent book written years about the whole ordeal by Shana Alexander, Anyone's Daughter.

That SLA kidnapper, Bill Harris, is a piece of work. No remorse at all. Bragging about kidnapping someone as if he is a hero. And doing it (the looks of it) from the comfort of his home and not a prison cell.

yep, pretty much. i just read it, he skips over the rapes, portraying the assaults as consensual, as if Hearst in control of what happened to her during captivity. I thought it was in general a poorly written and insensitive account of her kidnapping and crimes

Does it include how Hearst was held in a dark closet and rested my raped by her captor who was twice her size? Because Toobin's question of whether she was a hostage or terrorist is offensive

I read the book and he treats the rapes as a consensual act. It’s abhorrent. Patty was wise to stay away from toobin and this book. Stockholm syndrome is merely an afterthought for toobin. So irresponsible

Being close to Hearst's age I can't believe that during the me too movement Toobin suggests she chose to join the SLA. So either he's saying she lied about being locked in a closet and repeatedly brutally raped or he thinks having this done wouldn't affect her state of mind.
