    Jeffrey Sachs‏ @JeffreyASachs 7 Nov 2019

Last June, Prof. Ricardo Duchesne retired from UNB over allegations that he was a white supremacist. There was much debate at the time about the merits of this charge and whether this was just more PC run amok. Well, four days ago he joined Twitter. I'd say the verdict is in.pic.twitter.com/FeWtDZkh0V

UBC's Students for Freedom of Expression, a student club that is totally not racist or anti-Semitic, invited Duchesne to speak last month. Very cool.https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/british-columbia/ubc-controversial-event-clash-1.5316440 …

A bit of background about his retirement. Pretty good guess that he received a massive buyout from the university. Also very cool.https://globalnews.ca/news/5351457/ricardo-duchesne-retire-white-nationalist-comments/ …

If his comment about mathematicians' ethnicity is anything to judge by how on earth did he graduate from secondary school let alone get an academic position?

Duchesne's h-index is 4 according to SCOPUS, which is roughly what I'd expect a lot of people finishing their PhDs/starting a post-doc to have. He's been at it for about 2 decades. No wonder he lives vicariously through the 'racial accomplishments' of others.
