The rumor about the next Apple XDR display is it will be 7K, which means a 38” screen at the current 218ppi. However, the Mini LED screens on the 14” & 16” MacBook Pro are 254ppi. If you scale that to 32” you get 7K, which makes sense. Going to be very expensive.

Next year I would like to be able to safely spend New Year’s Eve in Times Square with thousands of people. I would never actually do it, but I just want it to be an option for society.

If Apple wants to remove the power adapter from the iPhone box, I suggest they give customers a choice between a power adapter and gift card. I suspect most will take the gift card, the money will stay in the Apple ecosystem, and they avoid a potential PR issue.

The package I was expecting today has arrived. On an unrelated note, I can confirm that my “New Mac” candle does not smell like a new Mac.

Does the Automatic Handwashing Detection on watchOS 7 detect a toilet flushing sound and remind you if you don’t wash your hands shortly thereafter?

I hope that when Apple cancels WWDC, they sell a 5-pack of crappy boxed lunches so we can get the authentic dub dub experience while watching the livestreams from home.

If you scale the iPhone 11 screen down to 375x812 points at 2x scale (i.e., the iPhone 11 Pro screen with a 326ppi density), the resulting screen size is 5.4-5.5”. So that’s my guess for this rumored phone.

Since AirPods Pro require iOS 13.2 and are being released on Wednesday, the software update must ship today or tomorrow. If the tile tracker is coming this week, iOS 13.2 will reference it, so the product should be announced before the update ships.

Why does have postseason games start at so many different minutes past the hour? Is it really necessary to have them start at :02, :05, :07, :08, :09, :37, and :47? Why not just :00 and :30? And why the 10 minute start time shift in NLDS game 2 based on the wildcard winner?
