Fine? No, they're bigots. But I support freedom of association even for bigots. Just as I — and you too, I hope — support freedom of speech even for bigots. I also believe that a free and robust marketplace will punish bigotry far more effectively than top-down laws will.

History doesn't support your views. Marketplaces too often, by their nature, predent the danger of majority faction Madison warned of in Fed. Paper 10. They become pure democracy - a popularity contest versus republican form of government.

This is why we have laws preventing certain forms of discrimination, as well as protective regulations on business. It would be wonderful if reason directed accountable behavior, but it too often doesn't.
