Everyone in MA goes to the bathroom. 99.9% of the time people use facilities suited to their needs with no problem. They did so before the 2016 transgender law passed; they’ll do so if the law is overturned. It's a needless law, and should be repealed.http://bit.ly/2qsCSOv

I am happy the law was overwhelmingly upheld to protect an already vulnerable group of people. The attempt to overturn this law was rooted in a disdain for trans people plain and simple. Purposefully masked by make believe unfounded scare tactics. Bigotry can’t last!

You will gain more ground faster — and earn much more respect — if you stop assuming that anyone who disagrees with you is a fear-mongering bigot. Treating an honest difference of opinion as subhuman hatefulness is no way to win hearts and minds.

Hey Jeff- so according to your philosophy a restaurant that refuses to serve Jews or Christians or anyone because of religion is fine?

Fine? No, they're bigots. But I support freedom of association even for bigots. Just as I — and you too, I hope — support freedom of speech even for bigots. I also believe that a free and robust marketplace will punish bigotry far more effectively than top-down laws will.

You'd wet your pants at a 0.01% tax raise but apparently people being unable to use the bathroom doesn't matter to you

"99.9% of my friends from the armed forces didn't lose limbs to IEDs. 98% of my elderly friends aren't in wheelchairs. Why do we need to provide handicapped bathrooms?" Of course, I'm joking. The very idea that someone as selfish as you could have ever have served his country...

Your 99.9% of the time is not based in fact. The trans and non-binary people I know are *regularly* harassed in bathrooms. So are butch women, men with long hair, women undergoing chemo with no hair, etc. Your world does not reflect the full experience of people in MA. #yeson3

With respect, it is not needless. The guarantee that this law provides is invaluable to transgender people like my son. The law has been a net positive for the state. We need the law in place. Please vote Yes on 3.
