My coffee pot has the measuring gradations visible when you hold it with your right hand and not left. So it is awkward for me (lefty) to measure the water for coffee. How hard would it have been to print gradations on both sides?

As someone who publishes both methodological and substantive work in psychology, I find it easier to publish methodological work than comparable substantive work. IMO, reviewers tend to be more capricious and idiosyncratic when evaluating substantive work.

We are selling our house in CoMo. This week, it hit me that it is no longer our house. It is now our investment property. And I have to flip it.

Anyone else receive an invite to a report release on the "irreproducibility crisis" by a conservative organization, "The National Academy of Scholars?" Seems see through as science bashing vis-a-vis regulation.

It is another day of, "Yes. Bayes factor are not the evidence for models you didn't specify." Who knew? Also, newsflash, they don't slice bread or clean your room

If you wanted fast single-threaded floating point speed, then what CPU chip would you use? Anyone use AMD threadripper? Wait for I9 extreme? All about inverting matrices and running MCMC.

Help with a new coffee maker. The old one, drip coffee, is leaking. I really like the coffee makers that use pressure, but I dont like expresso (too strong). Ideas for less than $500? Thx,

New preprint with Fayette Klaassen and on how we can use Bayesian model comparison to assess multiple ordinal predictions derived from competing theories. Of course featuring my favorite question: Does everybody Stroop?

Don't get me wrong. I successfully make coffee often. Today, however, not. Apparently, I had 1/2 a pot of cold water in the coffee kettle to-be-added to the machine. Then I made my usual 1/2 pot, resulting in a full pot of luke-warm, diluted, coffee-water. Uggg
