    We had a very nice opportunity yesterday to share information from the 20-year NRI Project in Five Points with folks at a high tech drone and robotic welder fitld event in Los Banos, CA! Thanks to Firebaugh’s John Texeira for taking part!

    Not quite high tech, but technology just the same. demonstrated how no-till enhances soil organic matter, improves water holding characteristics, & reduces erosion and crusting. He has led a 20-year UC study comparing conventional tillage to no-till

    Mark Gaskell has been a valued colleague. His collaborative work with local farmers really moved the dial on two of my favorite specialty crops in coastal So Cal. Happy retirement, Mark!

    and are among the specialty crops that UCCE farm advisor Mark Gaskell introduced in San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara counties. He retires today after 23 years of serving California farmers.
