I would like to see something based on a public (open source) algorithm with small-count polygons of a minimum of size that only operates on regions of mostly equal population and surface area subject to implementable geography/roads/county lines + no other data. Take it national

I’ve always been pro-polygon.

Form a nonpartisan/bipartisan/whatever committee. Let each party, citizen group, whoever submit whatever plan they want. The committee has to choose between choices submitted. You would have to aim for middle ground, or risk having no chance.

There’s no shortage of good ideas on how to do this. That’s not the issue. The issue is leadership allowing the bill to come to a vote. They still don’t have to, but we have an obligation to redouble our efforts and find a way to get it done.

Thanks. Hopefully we will get there. No one likes to give up power/control. Even we (I) need to care more about preserving democracy, than maintaining power.

Put marijuana on the ballot in 2020. It’ll get young voters we desperately need to turn out and vote blue... not to mention it will provide a nice financial boost to the state.

Please take a page from Colorado's book: Highest voter turnout in the US because ballots are MAILED to voters, and we just passed two Amendments to create an independent commission to draw Districts.

A few red states voted to end partisan gerrymandering this mid-term. No reason we can't do it , too.

Thank you, Jeff Jackson. Let’s make partisan and racial gerrymandering illegal in North Carolina.

Yes!! NC's Gerrymandering and voter suppression has made our state more like a dictatorship than a democracy. Who can forget this N&O editorial?https://www.newsobserver.com/opinion/op-ed/article122593759.html …

Serious question for you: How did the Republicans win in districts gerrymandered by the Democrats for the previous 150 years? (Answer: their ideas).

There is no such thing as "Independent" redistricting commissioners. There are only democrats who deceptivly change their registration to 'Unaffiliated'. Independent redistricting is a democrat fraud. Prove me wrong.pic.twitter.com/HeBpT1ghlG

Here's how to get it done: Follow the 5 Principles of Reasonable Redistricting Reform. This is how other states are getting good commission designs thru their legislatures. http://Www.fairdistrictsnc.org We can do this!

Needs to be a constitutional amendment so it cannot be undone.
