none of Congress should get paid, including the President.
If troops can’t get paid during a shutdown, then I shouldn’t either. None of this is fair to America.

You should speak with your fellow Republicans, especially McConnel & encourage them to accept the bills that 2 Democrats proposed that would pay the military during the shutdown. Feel free to donate your salary to poor children who need money for healthcare.

Jeff, knowing that McConnell blocked the effort to keep the military out of this partisan stupidity, you still try to use for a talking point. Your party leadership knew this was coming, and deliberately put military families into this. It was a cheap stunt, and a real betrayal.
